Who this policy covers
This notice is provided by the FHCM project team for this website, including its private development preview. For privacy questions or requests, contact hey@dannydurkan.com. It does not describe the data practices of Forza Horizon 2, Azimuth or a future FHCM Launcher release.
Information we handle
The current website has no submission forms, FHCM account registration or on-site payment checkout.
- Website requests. Our hosting and security provider, Cloudflare, processes technical information such as IP addresses, request times, requested URLs and browser or device information to deliver the site, protect it and investigate errors or abuse.
- Private preview access. Where Cloudflare Access protects a page, sign-in details such as your email address, authentication result and access events may be processed to check whether you can visit it.
- Messages you send us. If you email the project, we receive your email address and whatever information you include. We use this to respond, handle your request and keep relevant correspondence.
- Site performance. Cloudflare Web Analytics measures page views and loading performance through a browser beacon. Cloudflare states that this analytics service does not use cookies or browser storage to identify visitors or track them across visits.
- Atlas preferences. The atlas stores search, filter and selection settings in your browser tab so your choices can be remembered during that session. These preferences are not sent to us as a separate analytics record.
We use information for our legitimate interests in operating and securing the site and responding to enquiries, and where needed to meet applicable legal obligations. If a future optional feature requires consent, we will ask for it before that processing begins.
Cookies and browser storage
The atlas uses browser session storage, which normally lasts for the tab’s session and can be cleared through your browser settings. Cloudflare may use necessary security or authentication cookies, including CF_Authorization for restricted previews. Blocking these cookies may prevent access to protected pages.
We do not add advertising trackers to this website. Cloudflare adds a performance-measurement beacon to hosted pages; see its Web Analytics documentation. Fonts, route artwork and atlas data are served from the site itself. Read more about Cloudflare Access cookies.
Service providers and external links
Cloudflare provides hosting, delivery and access protection. Our email service processes messages sent to the project. We may also disclose information where required by law or reasonably necessary to protect the site and its users. We do not sell personal information or share it for targeted advertising.
Links to Discord, YouTube, GitHub, Ko-fi, OpenStreetMap and other websites take you to services with their own privacy policies. Those services manage any accounts, posts or payments you choose to make there. This site does not process your payment-card details. See Cloudflare’s privacy policy for its handling of visitor data.
Retention and security
We keep correspondence only as long as needed to answer your enquiry, handle follow-up work, resolve disputes or meet applicable legal obligations. Hosting and authentication records are retained according to the relevant service settings and provider policies. Contact us if you need information about records associated with your use of the site.
We use HTTPS and restrict access to private development pages. We limit personal information to what is needed for these purposes; no method of storage or transmission is completely secure.
Your choices and rights
Depending on where you live and the circumstances, you may have rights to access, correct or delete personal information, obtain a copy, restrict processing or object to it. Where processing relies on consent, you may withdraw it. You may also raise a concern with your local data-protection authority.
To make a request, email hey@dannydurkan.com. We may need enough information to confirm that a request relates to you. You can clear stored atlas preferences and cookies through your browser. For information held directly by an external platform, contact that platform as well.
International processing
Our service providers may process information in countries outside your own. Their applicable terms and privacy policies describe their transfer safeguards. Contact us with any questions about providers used for a particular request.
Changes to this policy
We will update this notice as the site develops, including before introducing forms or other features that change how personal information is handled. The date above identifies the latest revision.
